    Description

    Documentation to be submitted for the use of own forklift, lift trucks and towing equipment.
    Rules and conditions
    All applications must be accompanied by payment of a fixed charge of € 10.00 + VAT.
    Applications received later than the stated deadline will be subject to surcharge on the total amount due and will be processed only after bookings submitted in advance, i.e. 15 days before using the vehicle.
    Vehicles without the obligatory permits will be stopped immediately and removed from the exhibition centre. The documentation will be examined upon payment of a 40% surcharge on top of the list price. The documentation submitted to the BolognaFiere Safety Office (antincendioCS@bolognafiere.it) will be examined only after payment has been received.
    Applications made without payment will not be considered valid.
    Exhibitors may be authorized to use their own lift trucks and lifting equipment inside the exhibition centre after submitting the following documentation:

    • Type of vehicle and frame no.
    • Declaration of conformity with current regulations for the lift truck and accessories (the vehicle must be equipped with a rotating beacon, a buzzer, rear-view mirrors, seat belt, fire extinguisher, etc.)
    • Vehicle instruction and maintenance manual
    • Vehicle inspection and maintenance log
    • Copy of lift truck insurance policy
    • Documentation certifying the suitability of the person appointed to drive the lift truck, with specific reference to the training received (with copies of relevant certificates) and initiation of health surveillance required by current regulations (with a copy of the assessment of suitability issued by the physician in charge).
    • CE declaration of conformity (if built after 1993)

    The authorization will be granted for the exclusive use of lift truck by the operator whose documents have been transmitted to our offices according to the previous point. The driver must be an employee of the requesting company. The authorization will be immediately withdrawn in case the vehicle is driven by another operator.

    • ONLY FOR FITTERS: declaration by exhibitor companies (certifying that the fitter has been contracted to set up their stands).
    To REDUCE EMISSIONS OF EXHAUST FUMES AND PARTICULATE, the following documentation must also be submitted depending on the type of motor/engine fuelling:
    • Vehicles with electrically powered motors are not subject to restrictions.
    • Vehicles powered by internal combustion engines (petrol or diesel) are not permitted to enter the exhibition halls and must have an exhaust equipped with a catalytic converter that has been certified and inspected within the last six months (enclose copy of certification from a certified centre).
    • Vehicles with a diesel engine are not permitted to enter the exhibition halls and must also be equipped with an exhaust purification device (water type, etc.); enclose declaration of conformity of installation in accordance with legislation no. 97/68/EC and results of a test performed within the last six months.

    Permits will not be granted if the documentation is incomplete.
    The above listed documents must be sent at least 20 days before the start of the exhibition set-up period to:

    The service of examining the aforesaid documentation is submitted to a payment.
    The documentation will be checked by our personnel and the applicant can collect it c/o the BolognaFiere Safety Office located in the Services Centre ground floor (near block A) and keep it on board the vehicle. If the application is successful, access will be authorised and a permit will be issued for display on the vehicle.
    Means without permit will be removed at the owner’s expense.
    If the exhaust emission limits are exceeded, for reasons of workplace health and safety, BolognaFiere reserves the right to immediately stop vehicles from operating inside the exhibition halls. It will then establish timeframes and/or time periods during which operations may resume according to the number of vehicles operating simultaneously in the exhibition centre.
    We remind you that only electric lift trucks and hand pallet trucks are allowed to access the good lift. Lift trucks may not be taken into temporary halls with floor decking.


    Regulations for use of permits
    1. Admission of lifting equipment to the Bologna exhibition centre is subject to presentation of documentation certifying suitability to operate and possession of the permit.
    2. Possession of a permit does not grant priority for admission to the exhibition centre and is in any case subject to compliance with all applicable regulations.
    3. The permit is restricted to the applicant company and applies exclusively to the stated activities. The permit is not transferable and may not be used for performing work on behalf of third parties.
    4. The permit must be affixed in a visible position and must be available for inspection by personnel in charge.
    5. The driver must be authorised to operate lift trucks and must be in possession of the relevant certificate of competence. The relevant course attendance certificate must be exhibited to the personnel in charge during inspections. BolognaFiere will immediately stop the vehicle if the driver is not in possession of this document.
    6. During the period of stand set-up disassembly and exhibition , vehicles are only permitted to remain in the exhibition centre overnight if authorisation has been granted by BolognaFiere. In any case they must be parked in the areas designated on a time-by-time basis.
    7. In the event of failure to observe regulations 5 and 11, BolognaFiere will apply a charge of € 250.00 (plus VAT) per day as well as a charge for removal of the vehicle.
    8. If the vehicle is parked in an area where it causes an obstruction, BolognaFiere will remove the vehicle without advance notice and at the risk and expense of the owner.
    9. The use of lifting vehicles not included in this permit will involve the stop of the vehicle and its removal from BolognaFiere fairground. BolognaFiere will immediately stop the vehicle and have it removed from the exhibition centre.
    10. BolognaFiere will charge the exhibitor/standfitter for any damage caused by the lifting vehicle.
    11.No duplicate will be issued, even in case of loss or steal. In the absence of relevant documents, the procedures indicated at point 7 will be observed.
    12. BolognaFiere will not be responsible for the use of the above-mentioned vehicle.
    13. The use of diesel-powered transport and lifting vehicles is not permitted inside the halls. Verification of diesel vehicle documentation applies solely to use in outdoor areas as indicated in the Safety File.
    14. Lift trucks may not be taken into temporary halls with floor decking.
    N.B.: The official forward of BolognaFiere will arrange the unloading and loading of third party lift trucks according to a specific evaluation of manner and time.
